Welcome to the 2024 Dine In Cinema Summit. Registration is OPEN! Like all aging beauties, after 5 years, we gave our logo a “glow up”. This year we are excited to revisit our roots and return to Austin, Texas. As this is our stomping grounds and the birthplace of Alamo Theaters, Evo Entertainment, Flix Brewhouse and Moviehouse and Eatery- Cinepolis, we are looking forward to showing our industry friends what makes Austin so special. You will see many references to Bats in Austin. Here is the history:
The Richards Congress Avenue Bridge, located in the heart of downtown Austin, hosts the largest urban bat colony of Mexican Free-tailed bats. This colony is estimated at 1.5 million bats. As a maternity colony, these bats raise an estimated 750,000 pups each year on the bridge. They eat large amounts of insects, which keeps the city safe from pesticides. In Austin, we love the bats.
